Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Aviation for Operations and through subordinate personnel, this position is responsible for the maintenance of the Burlington International Airport’s airfield and equipment. The position requires an excellent understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, specifically 14 CFR Part 139, Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) Regulations, specifically 49 CFR Part 1540 and 1542, airfield layouts, aircraft emergency response, airfield lighting, current airfield maintenance techniques and practices, airfield snow and ice control practices, equipment maintenance, and communication skills.
