Under the general direction of the Deputy Director of Aviation for Operations and through subordinate personnel, this position is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Burlington International Airport’s airfield and properties, assuring continuous safety, security and strong customer service. The position requires an excellent understanding of Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Regulations, specifically 14 CFR Part 139, Transportation and Security Administration (TSA) Regulations, specifically 49 CFR Part 1540 and 1542, aircraft emergency response, current airfield snow and ice control practices, wildlife management practices, airport badging, and communication skills.
